Rumble Bees Get Swarmed by Sharks, Lose 10-3

Playing away from home for the first time this season after a quick turn around from Friday night's game, the Battle Creek Rumble Bees seemingly looked out of gas Saturday night against the Ice Breakers of Mentor in Mentor's home opener, losing by a score of 10-3.  The Ice Breakers scored early and oftenin the first period, jumping out to a 5-2 first period lead.  Eli Kinsman lit the lamp to erase a 3-0 deficit, with assists coming from Nathan Margets and Carl Mansson.  A couple Shark tallies later would be followed by John Champlain's first professional career goal, assisted by Leejay Meguinnis and Ryan Alves to end the first period.  The second period completely belonged to the Ice Breakers in front of their record crowd of 702 fans as they continued their shark attack with another four goals.  Carl Mansson ended the onslaught with a Rumble Bees' power play goal, assisted by Nathan Margets and Ryan Alves.  For the night, special teams were not kind to the Bees as they relinquished four power play and one short-handed goal.  The team will look to regroup next weekend with a three-game homestand against the Wolves of Watertown on Friday Night during our U of M vs. MSU Rivalry Night, Saturday Night is Military Appreciation Night with specialty jerseys being worn by the players and auctioned off after the game, and a Sunday 12:35 game, continuing our Military Appreciation Weekend!  Come on out and support our local retired and active military at the games as well as your Rumble Bees! #WeBeelieve!#MilitaryAppreciation#RivalryWeekend#GoGreen#GoBlue
