Hat Tricks Complete Season Sweep of Rumble Bees in Danbury

The Battle Creek Rumble Bees fell in the fourth and final meeting of the season against the Danbury Hat Tricks on Saturday night. The Rumble Bees never really got going in the game surrendering 4 straight goals early in the 1st period before newcomer Willie Dagneault was able to get Battle Creek on the board and avoid a second shutout of the weekend. After that the offensive explosion of the Hat Tricks would continue picking up 5 more goals before the 2nd period media break. Former Hat Trick Connor McNary added the final goal of the night for Battle Creek to cut the Danbury lead to 9-2. After the scoring was over the weekend of frustration finally came to a head as three separate fights occurred in the late stages of the game with Willie Dagneault getting involved in two of them to continue his impact during his debut weekend wearing the yellow and black. As has become a trend this season the Rumble Bees struggled on the powerplay only converting 1 of their 6 attempts and were out shot 49-25 on the evening. This gave Danbury their 4th regulation victory in 4 tries against the upstart Battle Creek club as the two teams are not scheduled to meet again this season. The Rumble Bees will be back in action next weekend as they take on the Watertown Wolves on Friday and Saturday night in New York.
